SEMA 2008 - Day Two

Looking at the Convention Center from the Monorail's North platform.

That is the picture missing from yesterdays entry.  Now on to Day Two.

After a quick trip to the Dentist this morning to have a cap glued back on that came off on Halloween following some Gummy Bears, I drove to the SEMA Show and once again rode the Monorail from the Sahara (free parking).  Of course the round trip ride on the monorail is $10, but the parking lot at the CC is always full by the time I usually get there.  I watched a few people trying there hand at driving some Toyota's around their "Proving Ground" course.  It was painful to watch them going so slow around the grounds.  Last years rock crawling stuff was much more 'real'.  It was funny listening to some of the people coming back from their drive and describing it as scarry or "No - I did not drive, cause it looked to dangerous".  Must have been from Boston!

This was an interesting booth - the ClampTite - Clamp making tool.

Just added this in here for any of you that had seen this tool demonstrated at the Off-Road events in Victorville, CA and at the Fairplex in Pomona, CA.  More info about the tool at www.clamptitetools.com

We'll
end todays entry with a shot of a Las Vegas truck from Action Motorsports.  I will have more over the next few days - remember - - - 'If everything's under control, You're not going fast enough!!'

Jerry as usual, you're doing a great job of covering the SEMA show. The trick tools site looks interesting. They have the kind of tools I'd like to get if I had a new garage to stock.
And the ClampTite tool looks like a handy item to carry in your toolbox. Looks like it can be used to make emergency as well as permanent repairs.
I look forward to your daily reports.
